Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild is an animated film set in the universe of the massively-successful Monster Hunter video game series. For this trailer, our goal was to amplify the cinematic elements, and craft a reveal that would be just as exciting for longtime fans as it was for new ones. To this end, we sweetened the foley on characters’ footfalls, and the clink of their weapons and armor. We also enhanced the destructive crackle of the dragon fire, and added some extra kinetic snap to the distant explosions.

Next, we made some light additions to the monsters' voices, augmenting their menacing snarls while taking special care to keep them true to the authentic sounds that fans have come to recognize. The result is a trailer that feels very much in line with the spirit of the long-running series, just amped up into the realm of a big-budget cinematic production.
