This piece is dark, contemplative, and ultimately hopeful. The sound design had to reflect that through thoughtful choices that emphasize the emotion of each shot. We focused on using natural sounds that add an appropriate texture and weight for the imagery on screen. Soft foley helps draw the listener into a quiet wilderness, before an intense rumble and flash breaks that quiet and reflects the tension and worry of the main character. The voiceover and music are delicate and fragile, and the design helps add the appropriate drama and, ultimately, quiet resolution.
